ABOUT
"Teach Greannaí", situated in the heart of the Gaeltacht.
​
In 2005 the Minister for Gaelthacht and Rural Affairs Eamon Ó Cúiv opened Teach Greannaí. Here at Teach Greannaí we provide a 7 day diner which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner and we are open at weekends for takeaway meals.
During our 7 day diner we provide meals on wheels 5 days a week for the elderly or people who request them.

At Teach Greannaí we provide so much more so please enjoy the journey of our website. Please view our Facebook or Instagram page for our opening times because they vary throughout the Winter and Summer months.

Our pod accommodation has been welcoming guest since May 2016.

OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
We provide breakfast 6 days a week during the winter months and 7 days a week during the Summer months. All happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast!
Free Wifi
We provide free wifi for all our customers and guest all year around, after all happiness is finding free wifi.
Pod/Kids play area
We provide pod accommodation all year around, sleeps 5. Bathroom,shower and play area for kids located beside the pod.
Laundry service
We provide a laundry service 5 days a week. Washing, drying,ironing whatever it may be,you drop it in with your name and number and we will do the rest.
Guided walks
During the Summer months we provide guided walks to the most spectacular beaches and cliffs..
Nothing soothes the soul like a walk on the beach.
Lunch/Dinner/Takeaway

We provide lunch and dinner 6 days a week during the Winter months and 7 days a week during the Summer months. Takeaways opened weekends.

We also hold community bingo in our function room, dates vary throughout the year. Keep a close eye on our social media.
Beaches
We are located in the most scenic area. With two spectacular beaches Portacloy and Rinroe beach, about a 7 minute drive a way.
Pubs
Teach Ó Conghóile, Dennys Ferry bar and The Anglers rest are a driving distance from Teach Greannaí
Carrowteige loop walk
"The finest sustained coastal walk in western Ireland, with a profusion of precipitous cliffs, crags, caves, chasms and islands along the remote North Mayo coast". (Lonely Planet Walking in Ireland 1999)
Portacloy loop cliff-walk
Portacloy Loop is a 18km long loop walk starting and finishing at Portacloy Beach (Green Coast Award Beach for 2017).
This moderate walk follows the coastline and the line of the cliffs reaching 255m above sea level at Benwee Head.
